Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem ‘tremendously happy and excited’ to be parents again

Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz are parents to 2-year-old, Leonardo, and have confirmed they're expecting another baby.
It's baby numero dos for Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
Cruz confirmed to Spanish TV station TVE! that she’s “tremendously happy and excited” about expecting her second child with her actor husband.

The couple are already parents to 2-year-old son Leonardo Encinas Bardem, and the 38-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” star has described motherhood as “a revolutionary experience.”

“That’s the best way I can describe it,” she said in a Vogue magazine interview. “Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment, when you see that face, you are transformed forever.”

While the baby news means Cruz won’t be able to attend Sunday’s Goya Awards in her home country of Spain where she’s a best actress nominee for “Volver a Nacer,” the starlet is all smiles about becoming a mother again. In fact, she’ll also be an aunt as her sister, Monica, 35, announced in January that she is expecting her first child.

As the family continues to grow, so does Cruz’s blossoming career. The Latina beauty recently showed off her singing chops and sexy curves in the new music video “Decirnos Adiós,” a duet with Grammy-winning singer Miguel Bosé.
